National Cabinet's Permissions and Restrictions for Essential Workers – Interim Guidance was released on 7 February. This is important for Association members because many building and construction workers, including plumbers, are defined as essential workers.

There is a National Cabinet plan for essential workers who are close contacts of COVID-19 cases to be allowed to go to work if they have negative rapid antigen test (RAT) results.

This plan has not yet come into effect in WA.

We have uploaded a new set of documents to support members and provide answers to frequently asked questions relating to COVID-19 in the workplace.

Members of The Master Plumbers and Gasfitters Association of WA now have access to a template they can use to create a written COVID-19 vaccination policy for their businesses.
