The release of the National Construction Code (NCC) 2022 is coming and members should know two important dates.

This information comes from the Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB).

• 9 May 2022 – Preview available in the NCC section of the ABCB website (excluding energy efficiency and condensation)
• 1 September 2022 – Adoption by states and territories

The May preview will not include energy efficiency and condensation amendments because Building Ministers have not yet endorsed them. A preview of these amendments is expected to be available at a later date before adoption.

Seminars for NCC 2022 Volume Three - Plumbing Code of Australia

The ABCB will co-host seminar sessions for amendments relating to NCC 2022 Volume Three, which is the Plumbing Code of Australia. They will be providing details of these events and how to book your place at them.

Reminder about the introduction of low lead plumbing products

The adoption of NCC 2022 on 1 September 2022 will be the start of the three-year transition period for introducing low lead plumbing products.
