All WA plumbers should read Industry Bulletin 161 from Building and Energy. It's a reminder about the new requirements for the delivery temperature of heated water.
The new requirements apply to outlets of fixtures used primarily for personal hygiene purposes. These fixtures include but are not limited to showers, baths, basins and bidets.
They apply to all heated water installations including when a water heater is replaced, relocated or added to an existing heated water installation.
The reason for the changes is that WA's plumbing regulations now reference the latest version of the Plumbing Code of Australia (PCA 2022).
